I know my team and I have been in touch a lot this week. Sorry to bombard you, but we're facing a number of new challenges that make tonight's end-of-quarter fundraising deadline more critical than usual.

I need to be blunt about last week's Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade. That case was settled nearly 50 years ago, and since then, the Republicans have been fighting tooth and nail to reverse it.

They say the pace of change is slow in Washington, and I think I speak for all of us in saying that we can't wait another 50 years to give women their rights back. But if we lose the House in November, a 50-year wait could be the reality we face. I know that sounds harsh, John, but it needs to be said. These are the stakes we are confronting.

The good news is that we have the power to prevent a GOP takeover of the House. For our part, it means staying proactive and meeting this moment head on -- that’s why I'm reaching out:
