WomenHeart Statement on Supreme Court Decision Overturning Roe v. Wade
WomenHeart released a statement ([link removed] that said removing federal protection for abortion care threatens the health and lives of women, including those living with or at risk for heart disease. “Pregnancy is a significant stress test for the heart,” said CEO Celina Gorre. “Abortion is health care, and women living with or at risk of heart disease should have access to it, along with any other forms of health care they may need. Removing this federal protection denies women health care, threatens women’s heart health and deepens health inequities.”
Help Us Grow our National Hospital Alliance
WomenHeart’s National Hospital Alliance ([link removed] (NHA) is comprised of hospitals and health centers across the country who are committed to advancing women’s heart health. NHA hospitals form a community with access to WomenHeart Champions who can support and educate their patients and to one another for learning and networking. We have changed our model so that membership is less expensive, allowing more hospitals from across the country to join this network. And now we want to grow so we can serve more women and communities across the country. If you know of a hospital that could be a great candidate to join us in educating, advocating, and supporting women with heart disease, please send an email to

The goal is to build a community of people with chronic conditions, including heart disease, and to share inspiration, uplifting messages, tips and resources for how to live and thrive with a chronic condition. In the coming months, we will share the campaign’s content on our social media channels. Donate NowVisit Our Website
