John — Each week, we email you to keep you informed about the most pressing environmental issues. And so many of you step up by signing petitions and making donations to support our members. We appreciate all of you so much.

But now, we are asking our green movement to step up and make a donation before our critical FEC deadline. Why?

In September, we will cut checks to support the re-election of our SEEC members who have been fighting on the front lines of environmental issues these past two years. And our goal is to give every single SEEC member a check so they can fight back against anti-environmental interests and keep their seats green. This has only become all the more urgent in light of this morning’s ruling from the Supreme Court in West Virginia v. EPA.

Here’s the problem: Right now, we’re still $1,587 short of where we need to be to make that possible. We are counting on our grassroots donors to step up and pitch in a donation before 11:59 PM tonight so we can get back on track. Can we count on you, John?

But progress could be at risk if our pro-environment members don’t have the resources they need to stand up to far-right operative groups and fossil fuel interests in 2022. And quite a few of our SEEC members who coasted to re-election in 2020 face toss-up races against rejuvenated Republicans this cycle.
