Hi John,
The list of things not getting done in Congress keeps growing: Saving abortion. Banning discrimination against LGBTQIA+ folks. Protecting our freedom to vote. And more.
That's why our focus is, and will always be, on the state and local offices that can and do make a real impact. And today, we're proud to announce 74 new endorsements for these roles.
These 74 diverse young progressives are committed to fighting for our values with everything they've got. Check 'em out, and give one or two (or 12) a follow!
Here's a little look at our June 2022 Endorsement Class by the numbers:
What are they fighting for?
=> 12% Running for education roles (school board, state board of education, etc)
=> 5% Running for legal positions (district attorney, judge, sheriff, etc)
=> 22% Running for municipal office (mayor, city council, county council, etc)
=> 61% Running for state legislature
How do they identify?
=> 43% people of color
=> 23% LGBTQIA+
=> 62% women
This class includes some truly unique folks, including an airplane mechanic, multiple children of immigrants, a candidate who received an award at the 9th Annual Whistleblowers Summit, a number of teachers, and a candidate who helped organize her city's delegation to the March for Women's Lives in Washington.
Chip in $5 to help these diverse young progressives — and the over 400 others we've endorsed so far this year — bring change to our communities.
