Here's the truth, team: If Democrats want to defeat Donald Trump in 2020, we need a nominee who can beat him in the Heartland.

But recent polling has shown that Donald Trump is outperforming many Democrats in some of these critical states. That should be a serious wake-up call.

Luckily, there's a Democrat who's proven she can win in the Heartland: Amy Klobuchar. In 2018, Amy won back 42 counties that Donald Trump had won in 2016, including counties he carried by 20 points! As MSNBC's Chris Hayes put it, "in terms of an electability argument, just looking at the numbers, [Amy] probably has the best argument in the field."
