John, I won’t sugarcoat it: this election will determine the future of safe, legal abortion access in Iowa. I’ll explain more in a moment, but first I hope you’ll chip in to my re-election campaign so that I can stay in the Iowa Senate advocating for abortion access.

Iowa is a unique state in so many ways. For one, we’re one of very few red states in the country where abortion is still legal. But it’s in serious jeopardy, especially after Kim Reynolds’ hand-picked far-right Supreme Court majority struck the fundamental right to abortion from our state constitution, paving the way for more extreme and restrictive laws.

My fellow Iowa Senate Democrats and I will never stop fighting for safe and legal abortions in our state. It’s no exaggeration to say that abortion is on the ballot this November.
