Earlier today President Biden announced that he now supports moving forward with an exception to the filibuster to protect abortion rights.

This is a great development and shows that pressure from DFA members like you and progressives across the nation is working.

While it may seem like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema will not move on this issue, we know that isn’t true because both of them supported a one-time exception to the filibuster to raise the debt ceiling last December.

So now, with enough pressure from DFA members, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema can come out in support of making an exception to the filibuster, as President Biden just did.
