Our worst fears were realized when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade. Last Friday, when the decision was announced, abortion became illegal in Wisconsin, even in cases of rape and incest. Clinics closed their doors and doctors were instantaneously stripped of their ability to provide essential healthcare. The hands of time were turned back in Wisconsin generations.
Elections have consequences. And the only way we can fight back against the attack on reproductive healthcare is to elect pro-choice leaders like Brad who will fight to codify Roe in Washington. He can’t do it without your help, can you give $5 today to help him win this vital election?
While we were mourning this devastating loss, Republicans throughout our state cheered and celebrated the end of ROE. Because Wisconsin Republicans continue to block any and all legislation that ensures parental leave, affordable childcare, and access to affordable health insurance - it is an absolute farce for them to be celebrating this victory as “pro-life”. Republicans here, and throughout the country, are celebrating the end of women having bodily autonomy and control over their future, while outright refusing to implement any policies that would allow them to care for the children they are being forced to have.
