Speaking of climate change, the risk of wildfires is expected to be higher than normal this season in the West and parts of the Midwest. Sadly, preparing for wildfire season is becoming a rite of spring for farmers and ranchers in these tinder-dry regions. The potential destruction of property, crops and livestock, as well as harmful exposure to smoke, ash and chemicals adds up to an unimaginable threat (especially as farmers and ranchers are still reeling from the pandemic and water shortages). Here is a list of resources for farmers and ranchers facing wildfire [[link removed]]. Also, we recently updated our resources for farmers and ranchers facing drought [[link removed]].

When a storyteller from the NBCLX series "Connect the Dots" reached out to us we were intrigued. The series takes three random items and throughout the episode figures out how they're connected. The episode featuring Farm Aid makes the connection between concerts, food deserts and lightbulbs. Turns out there are connections between all these things, if you just look hard enough.
