Wednesday’s hearing was a dire warning for November if Republicans take back control of Congress. We need to get organized, and get to work now.

john,

It’s hard to overstate how important this week’s January 6th Committee Hearing was for our country. Mark Meadow’s Chief of Staff, Cassidy Hutchinson, through damning testimony, shed light on Trump’s inner circle on January 6th.

It’s important to understand the evidence that was presented on Wednesday. According to Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony, here is what happened:

1. “They’re not here to hurt me.” - Donald Trump, 1/6/2021. Trump tried to bring armed supporters into his rally the morning of the 6th. He knew that his supporters were armed when he directed them to march to the Capitol.

2. “We’re going to get charged with every crime imaginable.” - Pat Cipollone, 1/6/2021. Donald Trump’s chief lawyer warned that if Trump went to the Capitol he could face criminal charges related to obstruction of justice and interference with the electoral count.

3. “We’re going to the Capitol. The president is going to be there.” - Rudy Giuliani, 1/2/2021 — Four days before a violent mob attacked the Capitol, both Rudy Giuliani and Mark Meadows wanted the President to be there. We also learned that both Giuliani and Meadows sought a presidential pardon.

This is who Donald Trump is. He’s an irate, short-sighted, two-time loser who attempted to lead an armed insurrection of rioters to the Capitol and stop the peaceful transfer of power.

Donald Trump and the Republicans who peddle his lies in exchange for loyalty don’t deserve the privilege of public service ever again.

The problems we face are too dire — saving reproductive freedom, stopping the climate crisis, protecting our democracy — these people just aren’t serious about solving them.

john, we have a very short amount of time before the November elections, and an even shorter one before tonight’s end-of-quarter deadline. We must get organized now, blast the truth about Trump and January 6th to voters, and use the power of our votes to stop these cowards from coming anywhere near a seat of power again.

Donate $10 or more to help fund our efforts, take on the Republicans, and expand our Democratic majorities in Congress. [[link removed]]

Honestly? I’m tired of talking about Donald Trump. I’d much rather work together with my colleagues and fight for a progressive future where our rights and our values are respected, and create a government that works for working people.

But Trump is still at the helm of the Republican party. And his cronies are going to do everything they can to win this November, because that sets up Donald Trump to run in 2024.

January 6th Republicans must be stopped. Donate to fund our efforts for massive voter turnout so we can defeat Republicans this November >> [[link removed]]

Thank you for your help. Our democracy is worth it.

Tina
