Ketanji Brown Jackson is the newest Supreme Court Justice of the United States!

I am overjoyed for our women and girls, for our people, for our ancestors. In the words of Senator Cory Booker: “no one will steal [our] joy” from this moment.

After 232 years and 115 Supreme Court Justices, Jackson is the first Black woman in history to hold this position. And she won’t be the last.

Justice Jackson is an inspiration to Black girls and people everywhere — she reminds us all that the sky's the limit for what we can achieve.

We are incredibly lucky to have such a well-qualified and experienced justice on the Supreme Court. She brings the judicial, professional, and life experience we deserve. Our country will be better because of her.
