reelection in New York's 16th district.

Jamaal has been a fighter for working people since he was elected to
Congress in 2020, and he's a key progressive leader in the House
championing a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and legislation that will
bring about transformative change in this country.

Like we did in 2020, Jamaal is facing an extremely well-funded challenger
supported by corporate PACs and the same establishment that he defeated in
his first election. They want to make him a one-term member of Congress
and deal a blow to our movement.

But Jamaal's background as an educator and a community leader here in New
York makes him one of the most compassionate, fierce advocates for our
progressive priorities — and he's not taking a dime of corporate PAC money
in this people-powered campaign.

We must protect and expand our progressive power in Congress, and
defending Jamaal's seat is crucial to that. He knows what it takes to go
up against powerful forces and win – but it will take all of us, working
together. With the new district maps and the new election date throwing
this campaign a curveball, he needs as much grassroots support as
possible.
