It's important because Steny Hoyer has been in this seat for 42 years and is not rising to meet the moment we are in. He's one of the largest recipients of fossil fuel money from either party. He has a secretive island club sponsored by the gun lobby. He was campaigning for an anti-choice candidate last month.

I'm running because it's time to win some damn change.

But to do that, we need to be able to get out the vote.
