In the last few days I have received about 40 different fundraising emails. Sometimes I have received multiple emails from the same candidate in the same day. I guess you cannot really blame us. We are all trying to close out our month or our quarter as strong as possible. I think that it is important to give you an idea of some of the things our campaign has been up to since we won the nomination. To date our campaign has received just under 700 individual contributions. When I saw that report today it really hit me. Nearly 700 times someone has either taken the time to write a check or clicked a link and entered the information online. To be fair the majority of these contributions have been very small. Just enough to keep us on the road. We know if we want to be competitive that we are going to need to continue to raise more, but let me tell you some of the highlights of what we have done so far. This is by no means a complete list I am sure I will miss things. This past Tuesday I was in Weiser, Idaho having dinner with the Washington County Democrats at their picnic. It was great to get a tour of the Weiser Little Theater and we were all entertained by some amazing fiddle music. I met several amazing people including a woman name Ingrid who had immigrated here from Germany. This past weekend I attended Idaho Falls Pride Night at Melaleuca Field and the Pride Parade and Festival on Saturday Morning. The Friday that gave us the tragic Supreme Court ruling was a busy day. My campaign jumped into action texting over 2,000 people and scheduling a press conference for myself and other candidates as well as a rally at one of our busiest intersections. We have traveled to Kootenai County, Blaine County, Teton County, Bannock County, Boise County, Ada County, Canyon County, Madison County, Washington County, Jefferson County, and of course Bonneville County. We have plans to visit all 44 counties before election day. We plan to continue to actively campaign and spread our message throughout the state. It's not just in Idaho, though, we are starting to catch attention in other states as well. Just today we received a $250 contribution from a woman in Virginia. People appreciate that here in Idaho we are standing up and making our voices heard. We do this even when paramilitary groups show up in their Uhaul box trucks, we stand up when armed vigilantes try to intimidate school children, we speak out when the rights of women are cast aside. We show up and we will continue to show up. We are building such a strong foundation for our campaign. I hope that you will continue to support our campaign. We know that we have a tough road ahead of us, but if we all go together we can accomplish our goal.
