The Supreme Court just ruled against the environment and against effective and efficient government.
Today's decision is part of the ongoing right-wing crusade against government, because the government’s job is to level the playing field, and greedy corporate interests do not want to cede power and control.
That’s the central theme underpinning the decisions of the conservative majority on the Supreme Court – they do what their GOP funders put them there to do.
🏛 Billionaires don’t want to pay their fair share? The rogue court says they don’t have to. It is so ordered.
🏛 Big corporations don’t want to do their part to stop climate change? The rogue court agrees to eviscerate the EPA. It is so ordered.
🏛 The GOP needs to hold together its political coalition of social conservatives to protect the power of the ruling class? The rogue court overturns Roe v. Wade and goes after marriage equality. It is so ordered.
I wrote the bill to expand the Supreme Court. It’s time to get it done.
I also wrote the bill to create a mandatory code of ethics for Supreme Court justices. Maybe some stricter rules will make the right-wing justices less responsive to the elite they currently answer to and more responsive to the Constitution and the people.
