John,

We wanted to share the good news with you: This Giving Tuesday, we reached our goal of raising $100,000 for DNA testing, and all of it will be matched!

Thank you to everyone who generously donated, forwarded our emails to friends or posted on social media.

The cost of DNA testing for a single case can range from a few hundred to tens of thousands of dollars — and those tests can be the difference between wrongful incarceration and freedom for our clients. You can learn more about DNA testing and the justice system here. ([link removed][UNIQID])

What this community did yesterday is incredible. Thank you — I hope you feel proud of what we've accomplished together.

With gratitude,

The Innocence Project Team

Started in 1992 as a legal clinic at Cardozo School of Law, the Innocence Project is now an independent nonprofit, affiliated with Cardozo, that exonerates the wrongly convicted through DNA testing and reforms the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.
