I’m coming to you this morning with a humble request.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to make that a donation to my re-election campaign, I’m here to tell you today is the day.

Because tonight at midnight, this deadline is over and we’re legally required to report everything we’ve raised. We have to do it whether the numbers are good or bad.

And the National Republican groups spending to beat us can’t wait to see the report. If we fall short of our goals — if our report isn’t as strong as it needs to be — they’ll spend even more here to take back this seat. And that could be the difference between winning or losing in November.
