Dear JOHN,
We have an exciting endorsement to announce: the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is backing Molly!
The AFGE is the largest federal employee union; it boasts 700,000 federal and D.C. government employees and represents more than 2,500 Vermont workers. Its members include lawyers, health care workers, law enforcement officers, census workers, and park rangers. From the Veterans Affairs hospital in White River Junction to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services offices in Chittenden County, federal employees live and work in every corner of our state.
The AFGE is the fifth major union to support Molly and her pro-worker agenda!
On Capitol Hill and as a federal law clerk in Rutland, Molly has worked with judges, counsels, court staff and other federal employees – and seen firsthand the excellent work they do. As the proud daughter and sister to Vermont veterans, she knows the quality care our Vermont VA workers provide.
Molly knows, too, the safety and security union membership provides. That’s why, as Lieutenant Governor, she stood shoulder-to-shoulder with state employees against proposed pension cuts.
In Congress, she will fight to pass the PRO Act, the strongest labor legislation since the Great Depression which will empower employees to organize and negotiate for better wages and benefits.
If you agree with the AFGE that Molly is the pro-union leader Vermont needs in Congress, will you chip in $10 today?
Molly will always stand with workers — in Vermont and on the federal level. Together, let’s elect the next generation of bold Vermont leadership.
Onward,
Team Molly
