The last few days have been some of the most hectic of my professional life. Roy, and all of us on Team Cooper, know that everything we do now could mean the future of access to reproductive health care in North Carolina. We cannot fall short.

I’m prepping for a (virtual) meeting with Roy in a couple of hours to discuss our increased June goal, and I had to reach out first.

When I crunched the latest numbers, I found out that we’re short of where we need to be to hit our end-of-month fundraising goal. We still have over $9,000 left to raise by 11:59 pm tonight. That number should be closer to $6,000 by now.

John, I don’t want to take this update to Roy without being able to tell him that we’ve turned our fundraising around.

Not only does falling short mess up my projections, but every dollar we don’t raise is also a dollar that can’t go toward our mission for North Carolina: electing Democrats up and down the ballot who will defend our fundamental rights. Their campaigns are ramping up this summer, and every moment they have to wait for financial resources will set them back. We HAVE to make sure NC Dems are ready to take on the GOP in November.
