Friend, it's Gary. I just took a look at the June fundraising numbers that were pulled by my team at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and I'm really worried that we aren't going to hit our end-of-quarter fundraising goal before the FEC deadline at midnight. You see, Mitch McConnell's allies have already raised more than $100 MILLION to take back the Senate.

I knew that GOP fundraising would be ramping up this cycle after we narrowly won the majority in 2020. But they're scaling up their fundraising even faster than I anticipated, and if we want any chance of defending our Democratic Senate majority, we must respond now and hit our goals!

With a razor-thin majority, Democrats really cannot let Republicans outpace us in fundraising. We're already playing defense in many critical states: My friends Sen. Warnock in Georgia, Sen. Kelly in Arizona and Sen. Cortez Masto in Nevada are running in incredibly tight "toss-up" races.

That brings me to why I'm emailing you right now. Our FEC deadline is TONIGHT at midnight, and we're still $9,137 short of our goal. With the GOP surely raking in millions this quarter, we cannot afford to miss this goal.

So please, can you donate $5, or whatever you have to spare right now, so we can hit this goal by MIDNIGHT tonight and protect our Senate majority?

There's so much at stake in this election, friend. The issues we care most about – passing legislation that will protect reproductive freedoms for generations to come, defending our democracy, ensuring a good future for our children – are all on the line if Democrats lose our majority. And the progress we've made since 2020 would be first on the chopping block.

Mitch McConnell only has to flip one seat to take back the majority – and after seeing these massive GOP fundraising numbers, I'm getting more and more worried that he's going to do it.

To stop him, we must make sure that our Democratic candidates have the resources to get ads up on radio and TV, speak to the most critical voters and compete with the GOP megadonors trying to buy elections. And the only way we can get those types of resources is with help from grassroots donors like you, friend. So please, will you rush $5 before 11:59 p.m. tonight so we can hit this goal, protect our Senate majority and stop McConnell from regaining control?
