Supreme Court Takes Up Challenges to Near Limitless Power of
EPA <[link removed]> -
West Virginia v. EPA will undoubtedly be the most consequential environmental case the Supreme Court takes up this term—whether it rules narrowly on the technical scope of the EPA’s authority to regulate greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act, or it endeavors to answer broader questions about the roles of Congress and executive agencies. Americans should hope the Supreme Court uses this opening to return policymaking to the hands of their elected representatives, rather than to unaccountable bureaucrats trying their hardest to run our lives. Justices Should Reject Biden’s Appeal, Let “Remain in Mexico” Policy Stand to Curb Bogus Asylum Claims <[link removed]> – The appeal seeks to end a policy that’s essential to deterring fraudulent asylum claims by aliens.  It involves former President Donald Trump’s Migrant Protection Protocols—better known as the “Remain in Mexico” policy—and whether it will continue under a hostile Biden administration that has sought to terminate it. the Biden administration is adamant on releasing illegal aliens into the country in spite of an ongoing immigration crisis caused by Biden’s de facto open-border policy, the clear factual evidence supporting the efficacy of the protocols, and the total absence of a coherent legal argument justifying the
policy’s suspension and termination. Heritage Expert: Lora Ries <[link removed]>

Biden’s solar power scam <[link removed]> - When it comes to energy policy, President Biden has become a master of doing the wrong things for the wrong reasons. His policies on solar panel production and imports are prime examples. Everyone agrees that we ought to be good stewards of the planet. That’s why it’s critical that we get energy and environmental policies right. Unfortunately, Mr. Biden hasn’t. Heritage Experts: Roger Severino <[link removed]> and James Carafano <[link removed]>

Biden and Yoon Aligned on Approach to North Korea <[link removed]> - When unveiling its North Korea policy last year, the Biden administration vowed to pursue “principled diplomacy.” Specifics remain unclear,
but overall, the Biden strategy marks a return to the traditional U.S. approach, which prioritized the importance of the alliance with South Korea while conditioning benefits to Pyongyang on progress toward denuclearization. U.S. and South Korean policies will converge under newly inaugurated President Yoon Suk-yeol, but Pyongyang will continue augmenting its nuclear and missile arsenals. Supreme Court upholds democracy in abortion decision <[link removed]> - In Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the court finally acknowledged what was readily evident back in 1973: Roe was an illegitimate decision in which seven justices simply created a nonexistent constitutional right to obtain an abortion. Roe was an ideological decision, an exercise in judicial policymaking with no basis in the law. Rather, it was a sad example of the court acting as a super-legislature to override the views of the public and their elected legislators in the states. Post-Roe, Left Suddenly Remembers What a Woman Is <[link removed]> - Conservatives can point to the left’s inability to accurately define what a woman is as proof they’re out of
touch with the American people—not just on abortion, but on reality as well. By forcing the left to acknowledge there are fundamental differences between the sexes on the issue of abortion, the stranglehold gender ideology has on America in other spheres also grows weaker. Conservatives can follow up our monumental victory for life with a one-two punch on the weird gender stuff. Heritage Expert: Douglas Blair <[link removed]>

Biden’s Fairy-Tale View of Land Mines Threatens the Lives of Our Armed Forces <[link removed]> - The Biden administration last week announced it would
dramatically limit the use of anti-personnel land mines by U.S. forces and destroy the entire U.S. inventory of such land mines, except for a limited number associated with defending South Korea. Although the decision no doubt will be welcomed by the more progressive elements of the president’s party, experts know that this blatant virtue signaling not only could cause the unnecessary deaths of U.S. military personnel, but defeat in battle. Despite military leaders’ repeated testimony that such land mines represent a useful military capability, the White House seemingly chose political expediency over warfighting.
