Recently, we asked some youth in our Survivor Care program to write notes of encouragement out of their wisdom and experience. This is one that a child wrote:
Letting others help is hard. Especially if you’re not used to good people offering real help.
The children in our care are learning to let others help because of people like you, who show up again and again with tangible support. Yesterday, you exceeded the #GivingTuesday goal of raising $100,000.
Thanks to you, and the Colquitt family who matched your donations, #GivingTuesday raised more than $110,000 to help children. We cannot thank you enough.

This morning, my coworkers & I were so uplifted by yesterday as we began to put these funds to use. Today in our office, we are training dozens of new facilitators of our prevention curriculum, who’ll go back to their home states equipped to protect more children. At the same time, our Survivor Care staff is answering calls about youth in crisis, and heading out to meet them.

Thank you for the kind of generosity that sends a message to young people that they can let others help.

Gratefully,

PS: Beyond #GivingTuesday, know that your gifts this holiday season will be matched by a group of generous donors and our board of directors. It’s not too late to have 2x the impact.

Love146 is helping grow the movement to end child trafficking while providing effective, thoughtful solutions. We believe in the power of love and its ability to effect sustainable change.
