Team, governors play a huge role in protecting voting rights, reproductive freedom, and public health, especially throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. They’re often the last line of defense against the GOP’s attacks on our rights.

There are 36 governors’ races this year, team. That means that we can’t just focus on federal elections – we have to win up and down the ballot in the states, too.

Democratic governors have the ability to set the agenda in states across the nation and sign meaningful legislation into law – expanding Medicaid, protecting LGBTQ+ kids, the list goes on. More Democratic governors means more progress on the issues we all care about.
