A note from the NDRC team...
We want to acknowledge that the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is hitting many people hard. This decision will cause tremendous harm. The NDRC is committed to working for a future in which all human rights are protected.

John,
We want to explain the new shift in our strategy. (This might get long, so if you don't have time to read the whole thing but would like to contribute, please click this link.

For the past five years, the NDRC has built an effective model that changed the redistricting landscape. By starting early, we helped shift the balance of power, built a robust grassroots network, and mobilized record-levels of public engagement in the redistricting process, leading to the fairest districts this country has seen in a generation.
But redistricting has always been part of the larger fight to protect our democracy. And as we see more and more threats to our democracy from a well-funded right-wing minority, we're applying the same successful model to help safeguard against both the threat of Republican gerrymandering and the anti-democracy forces trying to take hold in the states.
It won't happen without your help – will you donate now?

What does this actually mean? It means tactics like:
>> shining a spotlight on critical state and local races
>> mobilizing our robust grassroots network
>> partnering with national and state-based allies
>> and investing resources to support pro-democracy candidates.
That last item is where our Democracy Targets work comes in. We're working in at least 17 key states to help win races that will have an impact on the future of fair redistricting, the freedom to vote, and fair elections. We plan to support candidates who have defended fair maps, hold Republicans accountable for gerrymandering, and help elect officials who will block attempts to undermine our elections.
Here's the thing: Like all of our work over the past five years, our projects will only be successful if our grassroots community contributes. Tomorrow is a BIG fundraising deadline for us, and we need to know you're on board so we can plan the next four-plus months of work.
So John, can A.G. Holder and the NDRC count on you?
