Friend,

This week we are honored to have guests who will [ [link removed] ]discuss Indigenous
issues as we approach the Independence Day holiday next week. We wanted to
shed some light on the true forebears of the places we all call home. Each
year, people celebrate this holiday without acknowledging the long history
of our Indigenous friends and family.

[ [link removed] ]Out In Front: This Land Is OUR Land will be live at 5pm on Thursday,
June 30th, 2022. Our guests include Taylor Patterson, Executive Director
of Native Voters Alliance Nevada, Jonnette Paddy, a Community Organizer
with Native Voters Alliance Nevada, and community activist, Barbara
Hartzell. Our guests will discuss issues impacting the Indigenous
community including abortion and tribal sovereignty after the recent
Oklahoma v. Castro Huerta Supreme Court case that ruled states can
prosecute crimes against Native American victims committed on tribal land
if the defendant is non-Native. This further limits tribal sovereignty and
our guests will explore the implications of this decision.

Tune in tomorrow at 5pm on [ [link removed] ]Facebook, [ [link removed] ]Twitch, or [ [link removed] ]Youtube!

We’ll see you there!
