Great news from last night: Delia Ramirez won her primary in Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District. The result is a huge victory for progressives and a clear sign that voters want candidates who put people over profits. 

After endorsing Delia, Indivisibles across Chicago knocked on doors, made calls, and sent over 76,000 texts. With the help of your grassroots contributions, we were able to invest over $200,000 supporting progressive candidates across Illinois. We sent 113,000 mailers, ran TV ads, and supported local Indivisibles with the tools and resources they needed to build a winning, voter outreach machine.

Delia Ramirez is a true, grassroots progressive and community leader who still lives on the same block she grew up on. In the State House, she led the fight to extend Medicaid coverage to undocumented seniors and championed legislation that guarantees abortion rights in Illinois, in spite of the attacks from a hyper-conservative Supreme Court. Delia is the type of fighter we need to defeat MAGA extremists and their radical agenda.

While we celebrate this win, it’s important to remember what we’re up against. Conservative interests spend huge sums of money trying to drown out and discredit strong, progressive candidates. This was their strategy in Illinois and they’re trying it across the country. Delia Ramirez’s victory is proof that we can fight back and win, but we need your support.
