John, it's Trudy. I just left a meeting with my team, and I've got good news and bad news.

The good news is that our grassroots fundraising in the last few days has been record breaking. I am so humbled and honored by this incredible outpouring of support for our campaign.

I know that politics and advocacy can feel pretty hopeless these days; that feeling is, in part, why I am running for Senate in the first place. It's too tempting to just give up and tune out when you're faced with so much hatred, extremism, and cynicism. That's why watching so many of you join my campaign, stand with me against these forces, and believe in a better future truly inspires me.

But like I said, I've got bad news too. Despite all of the generous support we've been getting, we're still only 64% of the way to our grassroots goal for our FEC end-of-quarter deadline which is tomorrow at midnight.

This is the biggest fundraising deadline of our campaign so far, so we really can't fall short.

I'll be straight with you: I can win this election – but not unless grassroots supporters like you stand with me during moments when it counts, moments like this one. So please, before my FEC deadline TOMORROW, will you rush a donation to help me win in November and bring compassion back to Washington? Here's the best link to give:

I'm so grateful to have you on this team.

Warmly,

Trudy
