John – thank you to my fellow Coloradans for their support. I am proud to be Colorado 8th’s first Democratic nominee, and I look forward to joining with hardworking families across this district to become Colorado 8th’s first U.S. Representative.
My parents immigrated to Colorado from Mexico to give their future kids a chance to achieve the American Dream. My dad worked construction to support us, and thanks to his hard work, I was able to become the first person in my family to graduate from college and become a doctor. As both a pediatrician in Adams County and a state representative, I accomplished big things for Colorado families by working to make life more affordable – holding corporations accountable, lowering the price of prescription drugs, and passing free full-day Kindergarten.
Now, our fundamental American rights are under attack, while costs are out of control. Colorado families need a powerful partner fighting for them in Congress – not divisiveness and extremism. I am fighting so that our kids can achieve the same American Dream I was able to. This November, with the support of working families from Commerce City up to Greeley and back again, we will make sure the voices of Colorado’s 8th District are heard loudly in the halls of Washington.
