After SCOTUS overturned our reproductive rights, they made it clear that they are coming for same-sex marriage next. Maggie's position on the matter has always been clear: same-sex couples deserve the same freedoms we all do.

Maggie played an instrumental role in overturning NM's same-sex ban by asking a same-sex couple to sue her so she would be forced to issue them a marriage license. She was the happiest person to ever lose a lawsuit! It's very clear to us that, from day one, Maggie's been working to expand our freedoms and rights for all New Mexicans. While the federal government seems hellbent on stripping us of our freedoms, we need battle-tested leaders on the state level to weather this storm and defend our rights.
