Friend, I need a moment to explain to you why - ahead of this important public FEC fundraising deadline - I simply cannot fall behind on my fundraising goals.

Let me start with this, however: I realize we are in extremely troubling times for our country. The Supreme Court just allowed conservative ideology to cast aside nearly a half century of legal precedent and has cleared the way for government to take control of women's bodies. It's terrifying. It's dangerous.

But I also need you to take this to heart: If Mitch McConnell gets his way and flips just a single seat to take back control, he could take this disastrous Supreme Court opinion further and push for a nationwide ban on abortion – along with a host of other extremist, damaging policies.

That's why I don't want to have to scale back our campaign efforts right now – not when I'm up against McConnell and Trump-loyalist opponents who want to flip this seat. We need to be bolstering our efforts to protect this seat and expand Democratic control of the Senate.

Your donation now could help prevent a fundraising shortfall, and importantly, keep me on the path to protecting this seat.

As someone who cares deeply about the future of this country and understands the critical nature of FEC fundraising deadlines, I'm humbly asking for you to make a donation of $ or whatever you can spare. Your grassroots support ensures we have the resources to keep this seat and the Senate in Democratic hands.

Thanks for all you do,

Dick
