I want to be clear about something: We’re entering the part of the election cycle where Republicans will launch new unfounded attacks on me every day. I’m ready for it, but I wanted to make sure you never lose sight of why we’re in this campaign – and in this fight for the U.S. Senate.

We all have our own reasons for getting involved in public service (getting involved can mean volunteering, donating, or just voting by the way!), and I wanted to share one of mine:

This is a photo of me and my son Ben. I first got my start in public service as an advocate, helping to ensure that children like Ben, who experiences severe disabilities, would be fully included in their communities and have the same opportunities that all parents want for their children.

Serving the people of New Hampshire as State Senator, Governor, and now U.S. Senator has been the honor of my life. And I'm committed to continue delivering on the issues that matter most to Granite Staters.

I'm writing today because I won my last race by just 1,017 votes in one of the closest Senate races in history, and this year the stakes are even higher.

When you win by less than half a percentage point, your campaign has to be as strong as possible in every aspect.

That's where you come in: Winning and preserving our Democratic majority in the Senate will take all of us coming together, so I hope I can count on you. If you believe in our grassroots-powered movement, will you please rush $3 or more before our end-of-quarter deadline?
