Big news out of Wisconsin, John: Mandela Barnes is not only leading his Democratic primary, but he’s also now beating Republican Senator Ron Johnson by a larger margin than any of his primary opponents too:

If we’re going to gain the Senate seats we need to end the filibuster, codify abortion rights into law, and move a people’s agenda through Congress, we need to elect more working people like Mandela to office — not another billionaire corporate Democrat. And with just 41 days to go until the Wisconsin primary, this is one of our biggest opportunities on the entire map this year to flip a seat from red to blue and replace a Republican with a real working families champion.

At every step of the way, Senator Ron Johnson has failed Wisconsin working families. He was deeply involved in Donald Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election, he has dismissed the horrific effects repealing Roe will have on people in Wisconsin and across the country, he voted against the bipartisan gun violence bill this month, and he’s abandoned his constituents on issue after issue.

Working Families Party organizers are already on the ground in Wisconsin to support Mandela Barnes, and we have big plans to reach and mobilize voters over the next 41 days. But in order to make those plans even bigger and reach even more voters, we need an increase in grassroots support ahead of tomorrow’s end-of-quarter fundraising deadline.
