Like you, I am horrified by the Supreme Court's recent radical and regressive attacks on our civil liberties -- a right to a safe, accessible abortion chief among them.
Let me be clear: These decisions stem from a national, decades-long Republican effort to take over our courts to force their extremist beliefs on a public that simply does not agree with them. And these radical court decisions are far from over. Clarence Thomas has already made clear that he wants to come after marriage equality and contraceptives next.

Frankly, Washington state's Republican Party has the same pro-guns, anti-abortion, homophobic, climate-change-denying agenda. But what's different is that we have a Democratic majority that shows up time and again to defend and protect our civil rights.

Make no mistake: As I write to you, I am certain that Washington state Republicans are scheming and planning to make abortion illegal here, too.
Who knows how far they'll go? Heck, back in 2020, the GOP's candidate for governor refused to concede the race despite losing by hundreds of thousands of votes.
To protect our Washington state values, we can't afford to cede an inch to the Republican Party and their extreme, dangerous agenda. Let's keep up the fight, together.
