Last week, America First Legal announced the creation of The Center for Legal Equality, which will be a fierce advocate for parents who want to protect their children from a nefarious progressive agenda to bring divisive Critical Race Theory and inappropriate sexual content into the classroom. Not even our youngest children are safe.
The family is the building block of our civilized society and we are better off when responsible parents nurture their children and assume responsibility to oversee their education. Because we believe in the importance of parental rights, AFL has engaged in the battle to protect our children from teachers and administrators who place themselves in between the parent and the child and in conflict with the family unit.
And, that is why we published “The Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment: A Toolkit for Parents” to help parents protect their children against woke school boards, administrators and teachers.
Today, we announced that we filed a major lawsuit in Loudoun County, Virginia, on behalf of a group of parents and their children against the school system for its continued and unjustified interference with parental rights.
These parents did not want Critical Race Theory implemented; did not approve of social emotional learning being employed; and certainly did not want the school promoting gender ideology while hiding this from the parents and the public.
Can you imagine sending your children to school and having them told they can assume another identity or being encouraged to change gender without your being involved? This is happening in our schools today.
Can you imagine sending your children to school and having them told certain children are oppressors and privileged and others are victims because of the one thing that is out of their control – their skin color – without regard for their actual merits? This is happening in our schools throughout the country.

In Clear Creek, Texas, a consultant encouraged counselors to refer gender confused children to a private organization and cut the parents out.
And, in the Treddyfrin/Easttown School District, it took a lawsuit filed by America First Legal to uncover a 166 page document that shows that teachers are being trained in Marxist Critical Race Theory in order to transform the school system and ultimately destroy our country. Million-dollar consultants are peddling racism in schools across our country asking our children to question their “whiteness” and teaching that the American meritocracy is a myth.
What happens when parents push back against critical race theory and gender ideology? They are targeted by woke activists and elected officials and they are called domestic terrorists. Even the Attorney General of the United States tried to militarize domestic law enforcement against parents who only wanted to protect their children from this insidious ideology.
