Folks – If you’re like me, you’re still seething about all the alarming decisions coming out of the Supreme Court overturning abortion rights, loosening gun safety laws, and effectively erasing the line between church and state.

We should be furious. None of this would have happened without the complacency of certain Democrats who’ve been in power for decades – including my opponent who has served in Congress nearly half the lifespan of Roe.

This court is a rogue, illegitimate body, and Democrats must exercise their power to rein in these right-wing radicals.

Judges are not kings. When elected, I will not only fight to restore and expand reproductive rights, I will push for reform and accountability on the Supreme Court.

Recently, Blue America launched a contest pledging a $1,000 check to two candidates on the slate. Supporters are asked to contribute to the candidates with the strongest stance on SCOTUS reform, based on our statements in response to Roe.

Let’s do a quick roll call on court reform:

I support abolishing the filibuster. The 22-year incumbent does not.

I support expanding the court, something that has been done many times over the years and is well within Congressional authority. The 22-year incumbent does not.

I believe it’s time for Congress to impeach Justices Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Coney Barrett – all of whom blatantly lied under oath during their confirmation hearings – as well as Justice Thomas for multiple ethical violations. Once again, the 22-year incumbent does not.

In fact, despite being in Congress for nearly half the time that Roe v Wade was in effect, Rick Larsen has never actively fought to codify abortion rights into law – and he still hasn’t.
