Just what you need:
Another request from a campaign -- but this one is different.
This one is for Tony Vargas, a remarkably talented and experienced candidate for Congress.
He is running in Nebraska’s Second Congressional District, which President Biden won in 2020.
And I know Tony can win this race as well.
John -- this End of Quarter Deadline tomorrow couldn’t be more important. Tony cannot afford to come up short of his $8,799 End of Quarter goal. Can I count on you to support him right away? >>
I want you to know about Tony’s history, John.
After his parents immigrated from Peru, he was the first in his family to graduate from college.
He then became a public school teacher and was elected to the Omaha Public Schools Board.
Now, he’s serving in the Nebraska legislature as the body’s first Latino Democrat.
It’s no secret that his positions on today’s issues are very close to my own.
(I like it when young people agree with me!)
But I like something about Tony that has nothing to do with issues.
Simply put, he knows how to do the job.
Competency still matters -- especially in the United States Congress.
That’s why I promised Tony I’d help him raise $8,799 before his End of Quarter Deadline. So, John, I’m reaching out once again to his grassroots supporters to ask: Will you join me in supporting Tony and chip in $15 now so he can flip this seat and be a voice for working Nebraskans in Washington? >>
