Look at all the unprecedented news we’ve seen – and that’s with 4 months still to go before Election Day:

FIRST, Republicans started making historic investments in flipping CT-05 red. They dedicated millions of dollars toward early advertising buys AND the Republican National Committee opened a headquarters in the 5th District (their first ever in Connecticut). They've been pouring money into ads that imply the worst and ignore the work.

THEN eyes shifted our way. The respected nonpartisan analysts at the Cook Political Report downgraded this race, predicting it will be even more favorable for the GOP than previous decades.

NOW, we’re facing our first end-of-quarter fundraising deadline since this ratings change. Everyone will have a close eye on our financial reports in July to see if we still have support and momentum for our campaign.

If we give an inch, they will take a mile. If they see any signs of opportunity in our numbers, they will flood the district with MORE deceptive and distracting advertising, MORE Republican boots on the ground, and MORE misinformation.
