John,
Our first Texas Ethics Commission deadline in months is coming up tomorrow
at midnight, and we've set a must-hit goal of $4,000,000. [ [link removed] ]In a moment,
I'm going to humbly ask if you could add a $3 donation
today to help power this grassroots campaign to elect Beto. But first I
want to explain why we need your support.
Here's what you need to know:
Abbott's campaign just announced a massive $8.8 million TV ad push — on
top of the $2.75 million ad buy reported earlier this month. Abbott's
campaign plans on spending upwards of $100,000,000 attacking Beto, so we
need the resources to fight back.
With every rally, block walk, and town hall, it's clear that Texans are
ready for change. According to Lawrence O'Donnell of MSNBC, "Greg Abbott's
re-election numbers are collapsing." But we're not leaving anything up to
chance. Instead, we're putting in the work now to win in November — just
last weekend, our campaign knocked on 30,279 doors.
After midnight on Thursday, we'll release our fundraising numbers for the
very first time since the primary election, and it's our opportunity to
show Texans that we have what it takes to defeat Greg Abbott in the
general election. And remember, in each of the past TEC reporting periods,
Abbott outraised us, so the stakes couldn't be higher this time around.
Right now, we're running 13% behind our fundraising goal. And since Beto
doesn't accept a cent from corporate PACs, we're counting on grassroots
supporters like you to step up.

[ [link removed] ]John, I
told Beto we would see a lot more online donations come in through this
email, so will you please chip in $3 or more to help hit
our $4,000,000 goal before Thursday's big deadline?
