Good afternoon friend,
Last year the British Medical Association (BMA) made the historic move to drop
their opposition to assisted dying. Today a small faction of anti-choice doctors
attempted to overturn that decision by the back door at the BMA’s Annual
Representative Meeting. They failed.
We defended long fought-for progress today. We acted quickly to alert doctors online and in person to our opponents’ sly
tactics and averted disaster. But this motion came out of nowhere - and what
they’ll try once, they’ll try again. They will try again to quietly and
undemocratically impose their beliefs on others and roll-back the crucial steps
we’ve taken on the road to law change.
Friend, please don’t let them. Join Dignity in Dying today

This move from anti-choice doctors exposes their real agenda - to block not just law change but any kind of open-minded, sensible discussion
on assisted dying by any means necessary , including trying to undermine the rigorous and democratic process by which
the BMA’s neutral position was adopted last year.
In the context of intensifying anti-choice activity around the world we cannot
take this lightly. We need to be ready for what is coming - and I need you to stand with us.
