We were thrilled and honored to receive just over $383,000 in Giving Tuesday donations from 3,333 environmental champions yesterday.
Together, they set a new Giving Tuesday record — but unfortunately, we still fell just short of our $400,000 goal.
Luckily, we’ve been given one last chance to hit our goal by extending the Giving Tuesday match for email subscribers like you for one more day.
That also gives you one last chance to do up to five times as much good for the environment in 2020!
Make your Last Chance Wednesday gift before midnight tonight and you can still unlock our biggest match of the year. (Donate at least $35 or start an automatic monthly gift of any size to qualify for the maximum $4-for-$1 match!)
This Last Chance match offer is exclusively for email subscribers like you — you won’t find it on our website — so please use one of the links in this email to make your gift!
Thank you for everything you do,
Emily Stevenson

P.S. We’d love to be able to say we welcomed 1,500 new online members in honor of this year’s Giving Tuesday. We only need 163 more supporters like you to make your first online gift to meet that goal. Will you donate before midnight to add your name to the count?

The Trump administration’s latest attack our hard-won environmental protections came just two weeks ago when they released their “Fall 2019 Unified Regulatory Agenda” — a cynical playbook to cement their polluter-first agenda and make the damage they’ve done harder for future Presidents or Congresses to undo.
But now that we know their game plan, with your help, we can fight back by:
- Defending Mercury and Air Toxics Standards, which protect babies’ tiny brains from damage and save an estimated 11,000 lives and prevent thousands of heart attacks and asthma attacks every year.
- Defeating Trump’s watered-down “replacement” for the historic Clean Power Plan — a fossil fuel industry giveaway with NO pollution limits, NO deadlines and NO enforcement power.
- Rescuing America’s wildly successful Clean Car fuel standards, targeted for repeal by the Trump administration despite the program’s success at not only making our air cleaner, but saving us money at the pump, too.
- Fighting sweeping changes to the Endangered Species Act that would make it harder to protect species threatened by climate change and harder to support landowners who volunteer their lands to provide critically-needed habitat.
Please make your first online gift before midnight tonight to earn the biggest matching gift possible — up to $4 for every $1 you donate to defeat the Trump administration’s anti-environmental 2020 agenda.
A clean, healthy environment gives us so much. Thank you for standing up for it.
Happy Giving Tuesday,
Emily Stevenson

P.S. The late Robert W. Wilson was an EDF member for most of his adult life. More than most people, he understood that change happens when millions of people come together, united in purpose. During his lifetime, he contributed millions of dollars to match gifts for tens of thousands of EDF members. The Wilson Charitable Trust honors his legacy today by continuing to sponsor matching gift opportunities like this one. Make your year-end gift today to unlock up to $4 with every $1 you give.
