I want to share some profound words from one of our honorees, Amna Nawaz. Despite the many challenges we face in bringing new stories to life, it’s our imagination that pushes us beyond our limits, and without imagination, we cannot see our stories come to life on screen and beyond.

“I’ve had to imagine that someone who looks like me could fill some of the roles that hadn’t previously been filled by people like me. I had to imagine that before I could convince other people to give me the chance to do those things.”

-Amna Nawaz, PBS NewsHour Chief Correspondent

We’re excited for the work ahead and appreciate your support throughout the years.

In Peace,

Sue Obeidi
