I don't want to send this email, friend, but I have no other choice.

My finance director told me this morning that I'm WAY behind on my $150,000 FEC End of Quarter goal. We've run out of time to reach that goal, and I'm worried we have to make some tough decisions about our budget to mobilize voters and fight back against Rubio's deceitful attack ads. 

Does this worry me, friend? Absolutely. I just ran my FIRST TV ad of the election cycle to counter Marco Rubio's lies about my law enforcement service. The TV ads cost me an arm and a leg – but it was a necessary risk if we want to flip Florida blue. I never anticipated donations to plummet over the past few days, when this team has had my back from day one. 

If donations continue to dry up, I simply will not have enough resources to stay on the air. And with just a little over four months until Election Day, huge budget cuts could cost us this race and our opportunity to expand our Senate majority.
