New Videos! How did the Federal Reserve Become So Powerful?

Every day, we suffer the devastating consequences of out-of-control Fed-fueled inflation.

How did this happen? How did America's central bank become such a monster?

The next two animated videos in our What Has Government Done to Our Money? series tells the story of the founding of the Federal Reserve. The how, when, and why.

The Creature from Jekyll Island ([link removed]) explains how money and banking has always been a conflicting issue at the forefront between the Hamiltonian political forces that wanted strong, centralized power and the Jeffersonians that wanted free banking and decentralization of the banking system. Unfortunately, after the Panic of 1907, itself the result of bad Civil War-era banking policies, the forces of power prevailed. In 1913, Woodrow Wilson created the Federal Reserve.

The Fall of the Gold Standard ([link removed]) tells how the rise of the Fed led to the end of the gold standard. The economic consequences of World War I and World War II resulted in governments being addicted to the inflationary policies of their central banks. Rather than reigning in spending, a new monetary order was created—with the dollar as the center. The result is the Federal Reserve becoming the most powerful central bank of all time.

We have three more videos left in the series, which will be released in the coming weeks.

Please share these videos with any friends or family who find themselves asking "what has government done to our money?" every time they visit a gas pump or grocery store.
