Last week, the Supreme Court dealt the most significant blow to reproductive rights in our lifetime with its decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. This devastating decision means abortion will soon be illegal in half of the United States.
This news must be a wake up call for all of us. The fight to protect abortion rights in Florida is now firmly in our hands, as Ruth’s List works towards building a bench of Democratic pro-choice women who will fight to reclaim reproductive freedom.
Friend, this is the greatest fight of our lives. DeSantis’ 15-week abortion ban is set to go into effect on Friday, and Florida’s Republican lawmakers are ALREADY calling for a special session to pass an ALL-OUT ban on abortion in our state.
