Welcome to our latest edition of our NAAC e-alert. Please share our e-alert with your friends and family to keep them updated of all that's happening in and around Nottingham...and encourage them to join our mailing list for all future updates on events and activities.
It's been abit busy the past couple of weekends...with the International Day of Yoga and Wollaton Arts Festival Finale at Wollaton Hall & Deer Park. We hope you were able to join us in the fun...but if not...please see some of the pictures captured on the days! Also please let us know if you would like to volunteer at any of our events by contacting NAAC.
*Congratulations and Well Done to all our tutors, Kavya Rang poets, students and families for all the wonderful performances at the Wollaton Arts Festival Finale event.?**The event went extremely well, weather was great and we had a great and enthusiastic response from everyone there! Thank You for all your support?*
*We are very proud to announce that some of our advanced class NAAC Dholis will once again be performing at the India v England T20 cricket match at Trent Bridge on Sunday 10 July from 12.20pm - 1:10pm on the main stage. Thank you to Trent Bridge for giving our budding Dholis this great opportunity...*
Please also advertise our ongoing NAAC Music & Dance Academy classes held every Wednesday from 5:30pm-8:30pm at Radford Academy. Please register your interest if you want to learn how to sing; play tabla, dhol, sitar, harmonium, keyboard; Kathak, Folk or Bollywood Dance...Also, a polite request, if any student has borrowed our musical instruments, could you please return them if you are no longer at the Academy.

International Day of Yoga 2022

International Day of Yoga 2022 was celebrated on?Sunday 19 June 2022 in the Formal gardens of the historic Wollaton Hall & Deer Park.
Approximately 150 people attended the Yog session with the Sheriff of Nottingham and the Consul General of India from Birmingham as VIP guests.?
Many thanks to Mr Darshan Sohal,?Patanjali Yog Peeth, Nottingham City Council, Wollaton Hall staff and all the NAAC volunteers for making this event enjoyable and a great success.?
It was another monumental event which signified the healing powers of yoga.?Light refreshments were served at the end of the program.?

Launching this Summer, and in celebration of the acquisition of the last known portrait of D. H. Lawrence to Nottingham City Museums, a series of creative writing workshops and a seminar will give visitors the opportunity to explore and view the work of the famous Nottinghamshire writer.?Some are at Newstead Abbey and some are at Wollaton Library.?

MELA 2022
2 SEPTEMBER 2022 -?4 SEPTEMBER 2022, THROUGHOUT THE DAY
Nottingham's South Asian festival of art?and culture returns this September.?Further details to be announced over the?summer...But in the meantime please note that in preparation for the Mela performances, the NAAC Music & Dance Academy [ [link removed] ] will hold *FREE* extra classes in the last 3 weeks of August. Classes will take place at the Radford Academy, starting Wednesday 17 August for 3 weeks up until the Mela weekend. Please register your interest with NAAC if you'd like to join these 3 FREE sessions...
