Pearl is almost unrecognizable from the frightened, ailing sheep we met three years ago.
When we first rescued Pearl, she was emaciated and covered in horrific shearing wounds. She was also sick from internal parasites and had such bad hoof rot that her hooves had sloughed off.
But what broke our hearts the most was that Pearl had been so traumatized by humans that she would panic and try to jump up the walls of her pen to get away from our caregivers.
