This is a difficult time for our nation.

We have so many ongoing battles -- from protecting reproductive rights to making our neighborhoods safer from gun violence to ensuring that our health care and public education systems work for every American.

But here’s the thing that's never been clearer: If we don’t protect our democracy from Donald Trump’s dictator-esque ambitions, we won’t have a nation to fight for at all.

I took an oath to protect this country from all enemies, foreign and domestic, and you know I take that oath very seriously. It’s the whole reason I started The American SOS Project -- to build a movement that has the power to defeat antidemocratic candidates and protect the integrity of our nation’s founding ideals.
