Dear John, Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can’t say it enough -- THANK YOU for making this year’s Giving Tuesday one of our best years ever. We raised over $23,500 from hundreds of supporters across the country joining together in celebration of equality! I’m so grateful to those who generously pitched in support, donated to PFLAG’s Giving Tuesday fundraiser on Facebook, and showed family and friends how #PFLAGProud we are -- together.  Today would have been PFLAG founder Jeanne Manford’s 99th birthday, and I know she would be proud to see how far PFLAG has come since she marched the streets of New York with a homemade sign in support of her gay son, and then later, with her husband Jules and their son Morty, gathered with other parents and LGBTQ+ people to hold the very first meeting of what would be known as PFLAG, nearly fifty years ago. Now, with 200,000 members and supporters, 400 chapters, and countless families united in love, PFLAG continues to grow in leaps and bounds -- and our life-saving work won’t stop until we achieve Jeanne’s vision for a world where all people are respected, valued, and affirmed. If you didn’t get a chance to donate on Giving Tuesday, it’s not too late to give today in honor of Jeanne’s birthday, and for all of those who have followed her brave path. Either way, I’m grateful to you for supporting PFLAG. A parent’s love truly makes all the difference. Together, let’s help parents always be there for their LGBTQ+ children.
