No one should feel shamed for how they identify & who they love
Hi
Friend of Trevor,
During Pride and every day of the year, The Trevor Project is a call, text, or chat away from LGBTQ young people in crisis. We listen to them. We tell them they are beautiful. We assure them they are loved.
As a queer kid who grew up in rural Oklahoma, I know the shame and isolation of the closet. I also know the joy and freedom of living openly and proudly — and being loved and embraced as my authentic self.
I want all LGBTQ young people to feel that acceptance and affirmation too. I’m proud to work at Trevor to help make sure that those who don’t have a supportive community are not alone.
The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people.
