Hi Friend: I hope you can join us in a few short hours for the IRC's Global Virtual Event — to celebrate the vital work of IRC teams and the courage and resilience of the refugees and displaced people we serve. This is all work that you help to make possible as an IRC supporter.

You'll also be joining our special guests, including Grammy-nominated artist Yola, extraordinary cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and Academy Award-winning actor Rami Malek.

I wanted to share a quick guide on how to watch the uplifting event — streaming live at 9:30am Los Angeles / 12:30pm New York:
— The virtual event will be streamed live at the IRC Virtual Event website — use this link when you're ready to tune in » [link removed]

— The event will be accessible in multiple languages, including Arabic, English, French, German, Spanish and Swedish.

— You can view the event on your mobile device at the IRC Virtual Event website, but we strongly recommend using a desktop or laptop computer for the best experience.

Thank you for all you do and hope to see you there,

— Hank, IRC

When the headlines fade and the world turns away, IRC teams remain to make a difference.

Headlines and the realities associated with them are often devastating. Day in and day out, the IRC is in the world's toughest places helping refugees and internally displaced people survive, recover and rebuild their lives.

This live online 45-minute event will feature a performance by the Grammy-nominated singer Yola and the presentation of The Freedom Award to The Syrian American Medical Society Foundation (SAMS) — by the IRC's President and CEO, David Miliband — for their continuous crisis relief on the front lines in Syria and neighboring countries. More special musical guests and speakers will be announced in the coming days.

Thank you for all you do. We really hope to see you there.

— Hank, IRC
